\We love to repair your lawnmowers and your snow blowers, but we also love a challenge. Not sure what else you could bring to us when it breaks? Here’s a small sampling of additional gas-powered small motor machines we’ve fixed.
Generators and Water Pumps: We’re named Cambridge Small Motors, not Cambridge Lawnmowers and Snow Blower Motors! We really do mean that we service a wide variety of small motor machines, including back-up generators, gas-powered pumps of all kinds – contractors, we’ve got your machines covered!
Tillers:
Backyard gardeners rely on a tiller to turn the soil for them before planting. A common hazard for tillers is hitting a huge rock or tree roots, so go slow and remain vigilant as you go along the garden, especially if you’re turning new ground.
Chainsaws:
Turns out a lot of people in our service area keep a chainsaw on hand for proper tree maintenance, but perhaps because since chainsaws don’t get used as often as other machines homeowners aren’t quite hip to proper chainsaw maintenance. But we are!
Lawn Trimmers:
As you can imagine the motors in trimmers can get full of the dirt and pollen they rustle up over time, among other regular engine problems. We’re happy to do our part in your quest for a beautiful lawn.
Aerators:
You can rent an aerator from Cambridge Small Motors, but if you’ve splurged on your own we’ll take as good care of it as we do ours – and you can imagine with the rentals how much wear and tear ours take!
Leaf Blowers:
We service gas-powered leaf blowers aplenty, including the backpack, walk-behind, and handheld varieties. We’ve seen it all! The most common problem we see with leaf blowers is dirt build-up. It’s easy to forget that air has to go in for the leaves to move out about.
Lawn Rollers:
Aptly named, the lawn roller uses a heavy metal cylinder to flatten rough patches in the lawn or garden. They’re have a lot more in common with a lawnmower and snow blower than you might expect, at least when it comes to maintenance.
Post Hole Augers:
Building a fence or deck? You’re going to need posts and using an auger to drill the post hole ensures accurate angle, width and depth without disturbing the surrounding area. These things take a beating because you never know what they’re going to hit or how hard they’ll have to work.
Sod Cutters:
Typically sod cutters are used by professional landscapers to remove the top layer of grass. We’ll tell you though, they make digging a new garden a lot easier. It’s like an extreme lawnmower.
Attention landscaping and snow removal companies: Cambridge Small Motors has a mechanic on staff dedicated to getting your machines back up and running asap. We’ll even pull them off another job, just for you. Call us at (519) 220-1700 and let us know you’re on your way over!
